Some of these tools provide a mountain of information and can be quite complex. There are many tools that will not only provide a health report but also monitor an HDD and/or SSD to make sure the user receives fair warning before disaster strikes. A failed hard drive is not a pleasant experience, especially if the user has not created any backups.
